The only reason I’m posting this fix is because so many people i’ve talked to have spoke about it, so here’s the easiest way to get around it I guess.

Download the installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ for your Adobe Reader errors, this should fix it, if not let me know. If you are looking to download Flash and your getting that error, then go to http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html to download it via the download manager.

This is pretty much the easiest way to get around that error. I think its just an error with the air app that’s trying to install reader/flash or something like that. If you are having this problem after you try this method, drop a comment below and I’ll see if I can help you out.

So your computer is telling you have 9999 viruses and this program wants you to pay to remove them? Fear not.

The program is a fake, you probably have no viruses what so ever, this just freaks people out when they see it, and they want to get it removed right away. Basically what this program does, gives you false information and doesn’t let you run exe’s, thats about it, heres a quick fix.

Step 1:
Start > in the search field type ‘command’ alliteratively you can press Win+R

Step 2:
When command opens (the black box) type ‘notepad’ and hit enter. Notepad will open, copy and paste the text below into notepad.
[code]Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.exe]
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\pezfile]
[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe\shell\open\command]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command]
@="\"%1\" %*"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe]
@="exefile"
"Content Type"="application/x-msdownload"

==========Contents of fix.inf (look the link above for more information)=======
[Version]
Signature="$Chicago$"
Provider=www.myantispyware.com

[DefaultInstall]
DelReg=regsec
AddReg=regsec1

[regsec]
HKCU, Software\Classes\.exe
HKCU, Software\Classes\pezfile
HKCR, .exe\shell\open\command

[regsec1]
HKCR, exefile\shell\open\command,,,"""%1"" %*"
HKCR, .exe,,,"exefile"
HKCR, .exe,"Content Type",,"application/x-msdownload"[/code]
Note: if you are doing this from another computer, just save the file to usb stick or some form of storage

Step 3:
After you have copied and pasted the text above to notepad, go to File > Save As or Ctrl+S, save the file as fix.reg and make sure the ‘Save type as’ is set to ‘All files (*.*)’. Save the file to your desktop, or if you are on another computer to your storage device.

Step 4:
Double click ‘fix.reg’ a box will pop up, just click ‘Yes’ to it. Then it will confirm the keys have been added to your registry just click ‘OK’.
Reboot your computer.

Step 5:
Download Malwarebytes. If this doesn’t work when you double click on it to install, then right click and pick ‘Run as Administrator’ that should let you install it. Once you have installed and updated the software, you will see a screen with different types of scans, choose ‘Preform Quick Scan’ from the list, hit ‘Scan’, let it do its thing.

Final step:
When Mailwarebytes gets done, click on ‘Show Results’ make sure every box is checked/ticked (they normally are by default). Then click ‘Remove Selected’ let it do its thing. After its done, it will open a log, just close it, if it says you have to restart, then restart, if not, then restart manually, Start > Shutdown/Restart.

When your computer restarts, that annoying Win 7 Antispyware 2012 will be gone, and you can now be left in piece.

Hope this helped, if you have any problems feel free to drop a comment and let me know.

Be careful what you download in future!

1. Account > Privicy Settings > BLock Lists > Edit your lists.
2. Add their name or email into either box, block them, then unblock them.

That should get rid of the request to become their friend. If you know any other ways feel free to add it in the comments below.

*Update*
Facebook have fixed this, now you can just cancel your request if you choose to.

I didn’t want to go and google this, i wanted people to drop comments to get a bit of conversation going, and sure enough, a guy called Steven Weathers droped a comment telling me about quirks mode. Cheers mate.

This is just a quick video to explain a little bit about the html5 audio features and what they do, and how you can use them.

You dont really need these if you have the latest version of your browsers installed, because they use it by default, its really if you only want to embed a little piece of audio somewhere on your site you can use this, instead of using flash or the likes of windows media player embed code etc.. Have a watch, and im sorry if you dont understand me. Jeffery over at nettuts, explains this so much better and in clearer English lol.

For people that use Sony Vegas 8 or less for editing, and you cant edit you mp4 or mov files heres the fix or way around it without having to convert it.

Do not update to Quicktime 7.6.4, stay with 7.6.2. For Sony Vegas users, it was causing problems with mp4 and mov files, i dont know why this is im just here to tell you not to do it.

Another problem people are having that i have seen, is that they are complaining when they drag a .mov clip from their camera into vegas, it shows the video but no audio, or the audio is just dead on the time line.

To fix this, just change the extension of .mov to .mp4 then drag it in., it should then work with audio. If by some chance it doesnt then heres what to do next.

Last choice would be to convert it with a program called MediaCoder, or you can get quicktime pro so you can export the mov or mp4 file. When you are exporting in quicktime, make sure you select MP4 – and Passthrough.

What this does is that it wraps the .mov file in .mp4 container, so vegas picks up the audio. If your video is then laggy, then you can google that or i will write up a tutorial on a fix for you.

If you have any problems at all in getting this fix to work, then let me know by dropping a comment.
