So heres the low down. You cant run iPhone video on the 3G and upload it to youtube, they are cunts that way. So people have been trying to find ways around it since it happened. Now..
People have found a way, but you have to jailbreak your iPhone 3G and run cydia, which is kinda gay, because in experience jailbreaking iPod touches etc, always has errors and laggyness etc. SO i choose not to jailbreak it, and still get my video across to youtube, heres how:
Theres 2 apps i know of in the AppStore that allow you to do video and post it to youtube when your done.
1. Ustream Live Broadcaster
This is a pretty neat app, and is nice and quick, does what you want it to do. It allows you to record in 2 different sizes 320×240 or 176xwatever. Both are fine for recording, but when you port to youtube, its really laggy and the video isnt that good, doesnt keep up with the audio.
2. Qik Live Stream
Qik is a nifty little service, it does exactly what ustream allows you to do, but with less the effort. I dont know what size it records in, but when you port it to youtube. The video doesnt lagg as much when you move around, and im pretty sure the audio keeps up with the video
(still testing)
But yea, thats basically 2 ways you can get your video across to youtube without jailbreaking it. If you’ve found another way and have a test video, then by all means drop it in the comments.
