Should i give blogging up?
Category: My Life — Author: Anto on Jan 20 with 9 commentsHey all, so ive been thinking long and hard about giving up blogging, but like still vlogging (video blogging) and tweeting etc.. Its just, i write up all these posts for you guys and girls, and i pretty much waste my time. I know in the long shot its a good idea to blog because you can look back on things and maybe someone that needs a little bit of help will find one of my posts by searching google or where ever it maybe. I would leave the blog up and running for that purpose and maybe stop by to blog every now and then.
Normally when i ask questions on my blog, i dont get any replies. I mean, they arnt really that urgent, but it would just be nice for a few fresh people to leave a comment or two, so i know they are reading.
The stats for my site are through the roof, and i dont see how i only get like 3-4 comments max, its beyond me. I dunno what to do anymore, ive a few idea’s planed of what i could do on the net, but thats early days yet. I could maybe just leave my blog up and blog every so often, or maybe i could bring a few people on board who want to write up a post or two, maybe something im missing to post to get the comments etc.. What do you guys and girls think? Not that i will get much comments on this, but if you are grateful enough to drop a comment with a yes or no, and a why, that would be great.

Dont give up on blogging! I think that personal blogs in general don’t receive as many comments as other more focused blogs so dont take it personally.
In fact you should be thrilled that so many people are interested in you as a person and no just what you write!
I recon the only way to bumb your comments would be to focus your blog on a single topic more? But that might mean you lose some ppl.. double edged sword
Yea i know exactly what you mean man. Ive got idea’s in the bag for other little projects and stuff, so ill probably get to work on them, and just introduce them on my blog and see if the public bite. Blogging is a good hobby, i just like doing it so i can look back on things and be like, wow i did that, or wow that happened etc, but thats why video blogging is there for me now. With writing its all about SEO and the likes of google etc, to pick up on the text and hopefully help someone out that needs it.

I’m sorry I don’t stop by often, but I love your blog!
But yeah, I agree with that one dude up there. Narrow your topic down to something you are passionate about. That way, you attract some more readers (maybe lose some though) and then you also don’t feel like blogging is a chore.
Don’t give up blogging man. As you well know I’ve been through many, many blogs in my time already lol. I’ve finally managed to settle down now and concentrate on writing structured posts and enjoy blogging no matter who reads it. At the end of the day I’m great full to whoever comments but if no one does I can always look back on my posts as memories.
You should maybe do the same in a sense? It’s a good frame of mind to be in as then it’s less of a disappointment when writing your posts and just sat waiting for your viewers to comment. Stick to tweeting, blogging the lot. :) It would be a strange thing not seeing you with a blog so don’t give up!!
Maybe you could set up a twitterfeed if you haven’t already for your youtube / blog posts may get you a few more hits or/and commenter’s.

Yea man, i know exactly what you mean. I didnt even know you had that blog, so ill add it to the ould bookmarks and stop by every once in a while. Gonna dl an rss reader right now, havent had one in a while and ive loads of rss feeds i need to check in firefox every time. Keep it up man, and ill still be blogging =)
Yeah I’ve been blogging since the end of last year but I stopped over Christmas and New Year for a bit of break over the festive season. :)
