What format is the video? If its avi, then use media coder to convert it. If its .mov, if you have quicktime pro, you can export the video with these settings.

Quicktime 7.6.2 makes videos work in Vegas 8.0a. Rename .mov to .mp4 and audio will work.

Did vegas recognize the file when you installed quicktime or whats up? I take it from no reply here, you have got the problem fixed?

Yes. Try to install Quicktime 7.6.4 or 7.6.0 and drag your mp4 file in. If you need to find the specific codec download a program called GSpot then google the codec name.

What is happening with your mp4 files? No audio or no video?
